Many are called, but FEW are chosen!

few chosen

Not everyone who goes to church is chosen...

Everyone who goes to church is being called...

The "church" teaches that everyone who shows up and "believes" in Jesus is saved... chosen... elect...

Matthew 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

We must understand the truth of the matter... there are many who believe in vain...

1 Corinthians 15:2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

There is a belief that is to the saving of the soul...

Hebrews 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

And there is belief that is NOT to the saving of the soul...

Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.  But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Your religion could be completely in vain!

James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

Many will think they're saved, but are not!

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Do we really think that everyone who goes to church is going to be saved?

No, everyone who goes to church needs to respond to the call, repent, come out of that den of iniquity called "church", and turn to Jesus in obedience!

Have we read the Bible and paid attention to what God told us in His word? Notice Jesus made the point that it's those that DO that will enter heaven? Those that are obedient are those who are chosen!

Solomon, in Ecclesiastes, said he could find but one in a thousand!

Ecclesiastes 7:27-28 Behold, this have I found, saith the preacher, counting one by one, to find out the account: Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man among a thousand have I found...

So far, in my experience, this number is even far lower today! I don't find one in a thousand who really, truly loves the Lord!!!

This is so heartbreaking! This is my greatest lament! Imagine how sad it makes God! So few of the wonderful creatures He made, that He loves so much, actually love Him!

When He was here in the flesh, even then many left Him!

John 6:66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

This is SO SAD!!!

Where are all the men and women who love Jesus?

Where are they?!?!?

I get so depressed sometimes, as I watch a seed I planted get drowned and destroyed by the pastors and church-goers and podcasters that are spouting lie after lie after lie.

Matthew 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Lord, send forth labourers!!!

Who among us truly loves the Lord?

Who among us understands that we are AT WAR?

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Who among us truly loves the Lord? Where are they? Am I alone on this battlefield?

Now, don't get me wrong. I know a few who do truly love the Lord and they are fighting this fight with us, and shining brightly amidst the dark, dispelling the lies, and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

But there are SO FEW!!!

You might say, but Dan, there are a lot of people writing books and web sites and making movies about God, and preaching the gospel.

I say, you mean the people writing books and selling them instead of giving them away? You mean the people who try to MAKE MONEY on God instead of giving the gift in the same manner they have received it? For free?

Where are they who are willing to GIVE for the kingdom of heaven?

I've had lot's of people who have wanted to work with me and want to "help" in some way, but then they want to know how much money they can make, or envision the glory they will attain for themselves. They don't even consider giving of the substance God has given them, or giving their time, or working for God and expecting nothing in return. The thought doesn't even cross their mind!

No, thank you. All glory belongs to God! All that we have belongs to God! It's for HIM that we labor!

These are they that are:

2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Many are called, but few are chosen.

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling!

Psalms 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Make your calling and election sure!

2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall...

Pray for, and practice those 8 things in 2 Peter 1.

Love God and believe to the saving of your soul!

Repent and give your life to Jesus!

Don't hold back!

Don't believe in vain!

Be one of the few!

What does it mean to be a Christian, really?
