the Confirmation of the Covenant

The Confirmation of the Covenant is a prophesied event that many people understand and are waiting for, right now!

Gen 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great...

Gen 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

The covenant is that Israel would exist. She would be a great nation and would have her borders between the Nile and Euphrates.

The "Confirmation of the Covenant" that is prophesied, is: Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The "he" in this prophecy is the coming Antichrist, the "prince that shall come". The man of sin, the son of perdition in 2nd Thessalonians. The "beast" of Revelation. The "vile person" from Daniel 11.

When the covenant is confirmed, it will be an action of many people that will confirm the right of Israel to exist, and draw her borders.

The Antichrist will be one of many who do this.

Daniel 11 shows us that he will do this mischieviously with a plan to devise a cunning plot that does not come to pass, and he gets angry and has "indignation" against the holy covenant, which causes him to break the covenant when he takes over the world three and a half years later!

It is a fascinating study!

Today, we have Trump's Abraham Accords, the Board of Peace, and the Isaac Accords, that are all pushing for a peace treaty which would likely perform the prophesied action of confirmation by drawing Israel's borders and giving her the right to exist, which is being argued all over the world today.

But, it does not have to play out that way to be the confirmation!

Almost the entire world, with the exception of only about 5 nations, is for forcing a two-state solution upon Israel, by creating a State of Palestine, which does not exist currently. This would also cause the prophesied action to be performed. If they create a Palestinian State, with a two-state solution, they would also be forced to draw the borders of Israel.

This would also fulfill the prophecy!

Personally, I believe this is the most likely scenario.

Jesus warned: Luke 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh... This could be fulfilled with a multi-national force in and around Jerusalem to keep the peace and enforce the treaty.

Whichever way it plays out, we're literally awaiting this imminent prophecy as we speak!

When it happens, this event will mark the beginning of the final 7 years to the return of Christ!

To me, this means simply inviting God into every moment of your life. Talk to Him throughout your day and bring Him with you wherever you go. Study His word and seek Him with all your heart! We can count on His promises!
