Bible Prophecy And Truth

Why do people teach lies like "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse"? A Seven Year Tribulation? A period of catastrophic devastation to the world?

four horsemen

no four horsemen

There IS NO Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse!

This is actually a misrepresentation of the word "Apocalypse".

The Greek word, "apokalupsis" is "Revelation" in Revelation chapter 1.
NT:602 apokalupsis (ap-ok-al'-oop-sis); from NT:601; disclosure
It means "disclosure", as in "appearing" or "be revealed", IE: Revelation.

Liars who try to entice you with flashy words and graphical wonders use this to say there's going to be some kind of catastrophic and devastating events that are prophesied in the Bible.

So, first of all, there's no correlation between Apocalypse and devastating world events. It's the Revelation of Jesus Christ that the entire book of Revelation is really about.

Yes, the Seven Trumpets tells us about events that bring a lot of death.

The wrath of God brings massive upheaval and destruction to the world.

But these people shouting "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse!", "Seven Years of Tribulation!", "Armageddon!", "The World will be rocked by massive Devastation for Seven Years!", are using false narratives to get attention when they should be more concerned about not adding or taking away from scripture and what God thinks of them!

Questions we need to ask about this narrative:

  1. When is the wrath of God?
  2. Who will have tribulation?
  3. How long is the tribulation?
  4. What and when is Armageddon?
  5. Who and what are the Four Horsemen?

1. When is the wrath of God?

The wrath of God comes immediately after the tribulation when He appears in the sky with power and glory at the Last Trumpet. When the Seventh Trumpet begins to sound Jesus will appear in the clouds of heaven and will gather His elect and then pour out His wrath.

God's wrath is spoken of many times in the book of Revelation, but it's only poured out once at the end of the tribulation.

Revelation 6:17, 11:18, 14:9-10, 14:19, 15:1, 16:1, and 19:5 all speak of the wrath of God.  In Revelation 6, 11, 14, 16 and 19 God's wrath is poured out, and in chapters 14 and 15 God's wrath is presented as a future event.  Will the great day of God's wrath really be poured out 5 separate times?  And why would John, the writer of Revelation, present God's wrath as a future event in the middle of the book?

The great tribulation is the wrath of Satan, not the wrath of God.  The wrath of God is the Vials (Rev 15:1 and Rev 16:1)

And, God specifically tells us that we will not suffer the wrath (of God) to come.

1 Thess 1:10 ...Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

1 Thess 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ

One thing to note is that the first Vial (Revelation 16:2) states that the mark of the Beast has already been implemented. This is a great point on the timing since we can know from this scripture that none of the Vials are poured out until after the mark of the Beast in the later part of the final seven years. We also know that some of the Seals and some of the Trumpets have already come to pass. This is another point that helps us to understand that the timing of the Rapture is at the end of the reign of the Antichrist.

Also, Revelation 15:2 shows us that the saints in heaven just before the wrath of God is poured out are those that had "gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name". Then the angels come to pour out the wrath of God. This proves, again, that the gathering of the saints and the wrath of God come at the end of the tribulation.

The devil will be cast to earth having great wrath for 3.5 years, the last half of the final week of years.  This 3.5 years will be the great tribulation.  It will be Satan's wrath as he knows his time is very short. (Revelation 12)

The wrath of God will come after this, and will only be a few weeks of time, not 7 years, and it is not what causes the Tribulation Jesus spoke of. Satan will persecute the saints of God while he's confined to the earth having great wrath. This is the "time of trouble" in Daniel 12, and the "tribulation" in Matt 24.

2. Who will have tribulation?

The Great Tribulation isn’t going to be for the “world”, but for the Saints of God. Take a look at these scriptures:

Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

Jesus said in Luke above that His day, the day He returns, would be as the days of Lot and Noah. When destruction came on the world at the flood and at Sodom and Gomorrah, the only people that had “tribulation” were the men of God. Lot was persecuted and so was Noah, by the people who did not believe. The wrath of God was poured out on the other people after God saved His faithful. The world today is just like it was before the flood and before Sodom and Gomorrah destruction. The wrath of God will be poured out only after He has saved His faithful, but the time of trouble called the Great Tribulation will be trouble for the saints, not the rest of the world. This is discussed in detail in chapter 10 of this book.

1 Thess 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

The Lord will come as a thief in the night, but only to those in darkness, not to those who know the Lord. They shall say, “Peace and Safety”, just as the world was reveling in abandon before the flood and Sodom and Gomorrah. What is the call of the New World Order? Peace and Safety!

Rev 7:13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Those that come out of great tribulation in this passage are the Saints of God.

3. How long is the tribulation?

We have multiple places in the Bible that give us very specific times that things will happen:

Old Testament verbiage: A time is one year, times is two years, and an half or the dividing of time is half a year. So this is 1+2+.5 = 3.5 years.

Take note that the scriptures give us that time frame in several ways; 1260 days, time times and an half, and 42 months. This diversity in the verbiage gives us the proof that it's actually 1260 literal days, not years as some teach. It's 3.5 years.

Which of these are referring to the time of the Antichrist?

So we can say with absolute certainty that the Tribulation will last for 3.5 years.

4. What and when is Armageddon?

Rev 16:12-15 shows the gathering of the kings of the earth to the great battle of Armageddon.

Rev 19 shows us that it's just a word spoken by Jesus that destroys the armies the Antichrist is bringing against Jerusalem.

This is the 6th Vial of the wrath of God, and is not something that happens over 7 years, or even 3.5 years, but is the final event prior to the Day of the Lord where Jesus puts down the governments of men and takes over the world where He will rule with a rod of iron for 1000 years.

So when we see things like this:

7yearApocalypse

We know it's a lie!

7yearArmageddon

The true timeline:

5. Who and what are the Four Horsemen?

The four horsemen and the horses with chariots of Revelation 6 and Zechariah 6 most likely represent the spirits of Catholicism, Capitalism, Communism, and Islam.  These spirits are in the world today and have been here for a long time.  If you think about it, I’ll wager you’ll notice how the spirit of the people living under these forces have different attitudes, ways of thinking, etc; that fit the spirit governing their lives.

And, this fits very well with the nations of Daniel 7 that will be combined in the beast (nations) of Revelation 13 (the New World Order), where the lion and leopard depict the Capitalistic nations, while Russia depicts Communism and Islam depicts the 10 horned beast. This combined beast has the great whore (Catholicism which is the Vatican in Italy) riding it in Revelation 17. All four spirits are represented in this picture.

When we put all of these prophecies together, and marry up the pictures God painted, we see the final One World Government with the One World Religion that the Antichrist will rule with the False Prophet.
