I have created a very detailed chart of the timeline from the Birth of Christ to His return and into eternity.

The text below is a companion document that lists the events in the order that they happen, from the Book of Revelation
I'm including links in some of the text below for easy study references.
How to read Revelation – It cannot be read as if it’s a sequential timeline of events and be understood! We must first understand that it’s a series of visions given to John that are mostly happening all at the same time but conclude at the same time, at the same event (Jesus returns, pours out His wrath on the wicked people of the world and takes over ruling the world!)
See this link for information on the way Revelation is written
The book of Revelation can be divided into these three distinct categories:
Things John has seen. In chapter one John records having seen Jesus Christ Himself. The things seen and heard during this experience are the "things which thou hast seen".
"Things which are" represent things that are in John's present world. Chapters 2 and 3 are letters to the seven churches “which are in Asia”. These churches existed at that time in Asia. Some people, assuming that the entire book of Revelation is prophetic, have put forth a theory that the seven churches must be church "ages" of the future. That is simply not true. The truth is that the messages to the seven existing churches of that time are the "things which are".
Revelation 4:1 begins the "things which shall be hereafter".
Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
Rev 12:1-5 starts with the birth of Christ of the woman who is a symbolic representation of Israel - then v6 leap to the end time
In the actual timeline, this is the first thing that happens, from the gospels
Matt 2:1-18 and Acts 1:9 are parallel accounts of this symbolic vision; the birth of Christ, Satan's attempt to kill him through King Herod, and then Jesus' ascension
Rev 1 is the appearing of Jesus to John on the Isle of Patmos, and His instructions to write the letters to the churches, and the visions shown to John, and to deliver them.
Chapter 1 is the "things which are" and the things John had "seen", having seen Jesus Himself.
Chapters 2 and 3 are letters dictated to John for the specific churches that existed at that time, as it says, "which are in Asia" in chapter 1 verses 1 and 11.
Rev 4 begins the vision of heaven and we see this symbolic representation several times throughout Rev (5, 7, 8, 14, 15, 19, new heaven 21-22)
Sea of glass with the throne of God
4 beasts (see also: Ezekiel chapters 1 and 10, and Is 6:2, shows us that the "beast" in this passage is a Cherubim (a class of Angel))
24 elders
Rev 5 continues the vision from 4 and starts the vision of the Seals
Rev 6 Seals 1-4 (*)
Rev 6:1-8 the four horsemen = Zech 6:1-8 four spirits
Zech spirits all released, then white horse sets up mindset/worldview first, followed by red, black and green (not necessarily coming to the full in that order)
Rev 8 the first 4 trumpets (**)
(*) No one can say the Seals are these for sure, but it is almost certain based on all prophecy fitting together like a hand in a glove, and the historical facts.
(**) Again, we can’t say for sure any of the Trumpets have blown yet, and it’s less certain than the Seals, but the first four Trumpets may have already blown!
Any of these could happen next:
Rev 7 the sealing of the 144k will be prior to 5th trumpet for sure, but other than that it could be during final 7 years
Depends on when 5th trump sounds
Rev 9 the beginning of the 3 woes:
5th and 6th trumpets (the first two woes)
Might be prior to the confirmation, but could be during the first half of the final 7 years
The Confirmation of the Covenant will be when the world comes together to sign a peace treaty and confirm the borders of Israel and the status of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount
This event will start the final seven years
My best guess for the year that the Confirmation of the Covenant will happen:
Rev 11 the temple may be rebuilt during the first half of the final 7 years, but it could be built just prior, and when John measures the temple where it's tread underfoot for 42 months
It's likely this is referring to the first half of final 7 years
Rev 12 v6
Israel is in the “place prepared of God” for this 3.5 year period
This is likely the first half of the final 7 years, and the casting down of Satan and his persecution of Israel is the second half, during the Tribulation
Rev 6 The 5th seal timeframe could be during the tribulation, just before the wrath of God, but likely not since they're told to rest until their fellowservants are slain, so likely early in final 7 years or early in the final 3.5 years (the time of the tribulation)
Rev 17 power of the 10 kings given to the Antichrist
This is almost certainly going to be 10 Islamic kings who acknowledge this man as the Muslim Mahdi
Rev 13 The Antichrist brings several kings together for political and military union
Daniel 7's 4 beasts (kings) come together in an alliance under the Antichrist
These are most likely going to be Russia, Germany, and Great Britain (the United Kingdom, as we know it today), along with the 10 Islamic kings
Rev 13 The false prophet teams up with antichrist for religious union
Daniel 2's fifth section, the final empire before Christ returns, is the combined Holy Roman and Islamic Empires
These both still exist today with new names, in the European Union and the Arab League
Rev 12 v7-17 war in heaven
Satan cast to earth and makes war with saints and Israel
God protects Israel (no complete destruction)
The second half of final 7 years
Daniel, Matthew and 2 Thess "Abomination of Desolation" is at this time
The Antichrist sits in the temple claiming to be God
The Abomination of Desolation marks the beginning of the Great Tribulation
Rev 11 The final 3.5 years
The Great Tribulation
Rev 13 the antichrist and false prophet take over the world using Satan's power
The mark of beast
False Prophet does miracles to fool the world into worshiping the Antichrist
Rev 11 The two witnesses with have power for 1260 days
This is the second half of final 7 years
God’s Two Witnesses offset the devil’s Antichrist and false prophet with the power of God and can’t be killed until the end
Rev 14 final warning about worshiping the beast (the Antichrist and his new world order)
Rev 11 two witnesses are killed
Their bodies lie in they street of Jerusalem for 3 days and nobody will touch them, but the world celebrates
They are restored to life by God, and they stand up, causing great fear in the world
God takes them up to heaven
Rev 14 The 144,000 are with Jesus as the "first fruits"
The Revelation of Jesus Christ
Rev 10 There will be delay no longer
The identity of Jesus Christ is revealed to the world (God Himself)
The mystery of God will be finished (the identity of Jesus)
This is THE Revelation of Jesus Christ
The world will see Him for who He truly is, finally
Rev 10 The Seventh Trumpet BEGINS to sound
This trumpet is a period of time that spans the return of Jesus, the Rapture and the Wrath of God being poured out
It ends at the last Vial where we see the exact same events that conclude the wrath
Rev 14 The Rapture
Jesus said, point blank, it would be after the Tribulation, which follows the Abomination of Desolation, that He comes in the clouds with power and glory and gathers His elect.
And Paul, in 2 Thess, shows us that day shall not come (our gathering together unto Him), except the Antichrist be revealed at the abomination of desolation, where he sits in the temple claiming to be god!
Rev 15 Those that had gotten victory over beast
The saints in heaven after the Rapture
Rev 7 Great Multitude
The saints in heaven after the Rapture
The same depiction as Rev 21
This is at the beginning of the 7th trumpet - as the seventh angel begins to sound
These are they which came out of great tribulation
THIS IS THE DAY OF THE LORD!
Is 13:9-10, Joel 2:31, Matt 24:29
6th Seal, 7th Trump, 7th Vial are the SAME event!
Study the chart and compare what occurs in each scripture. Each of the passages are describing the same events that occur immediately after the Tribulation at the Battle of Armageddon (same as the Battle of Gog and Magog).
Notice that the Seal, Trumpet and Vial all have an earthquake and the wrath of God is come upon the earth. Matthew shows the same events that also are shown in the 6th Seal and the events in Matthew happen immediately after the Tribulation, which is when the battle of Armageddon takes place. The islands and mountains moving, the great hail, God's wrath and the earthquake from Ezekiel are the same as the 7th Vial and except for the hail not mentioned in the Seal, it's also the same. Likewise the 7th Trumpet has the same events except for mountains moving. The battle of Gog in Ezekiel is the same event as the battle of Armageddon.
The conclusion is obvious. All of these events happen at the same time but they are described in several places in the bible.
Rev 14 The wrath of God begins
The people of the earth that don’t love and obey God are cast into the great winepress of the wrath of God
Rev 15 temple filled with smoke during the wrath
No man can enter
I don’t believe anyone will be able to be saved during the wrath...
Rev 8 v3-5 prayers of saints during events (probably the whole 7 years)
Then same events as the final events, 6th Seal, 7th Trump
Rev 16 beginning of the Vials - the Wrath of God
Jesus comes in the clouds with power and glory!
The sun, moon and stars go dark, and Jesus pours out His Wrath on the World!
Rev 17-18 The judgement of the great whore
Rev 19 vision of heaven again with 24 elders
God has judged
Rev 6 The 6th Seal is the wrath of God
Rev 11 The 7th trumpet finishes sounding
The final (3rd) Woe
The wrath of God
Rev 16 The 7th Vial is the end of the wrath of God
It is done...
Rev 19 The battle of Armageddon
Jesus descends from the clouds and touches down on the Mount of Olives, destroying the armies of the Antichrist with a word
Ez 38, same battle
Zech 14, same battle
Joel 3, same battle
It’s not really a “battle”, since Jesus just speaks a word to destroy them
Jesus came the first time as a meek Lamb, but this time He’s coming as a roaring lion, and as the Mighty God!
He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
The saints come with Him but don’t take part in the battle.
Rev 19 The marriage supper of the Lamb
The Bride, all those who truly love God, will be joined with God for eternity
Rev 8 v1 The 7th seal
All of heaven is in awe after it's all over...
Rev 19 The Antichrist and false prophet thrown alive into lake of fire
Rev 20 Satan chained up in the bottomless pit for 1000 years
Rev 19 Jesus rules with rod of iron...
Jesus puts down the governments of men and takes over the world where He rules with a rod of iron for 1000 years - see also Dan 7, Dan 2
Rev 19 Jesus rules with rod of iron - see also Rev 2:27, Rev 12:5
Rev 20 The saints rule with Jesus for 1000 years
Rev 20 At the end of the 1000 years, Satan is released and deceives the nations again
Rev 20 The final battle of Gog and Magog
Another “battle” that isn’t a battle...
God just destroys them with fire from heaven
Rev 20 Satan is cast into lake of fire with the Antichrist and false prophet
Rev 20 The great white throne judgment day
All of the dead are raised and judged
Those not found in the book of life are cast into the lake of fire
Rev 21-22 Eternity with God!
New Heavens and a New Earth
God Himself will dwell among the saints forever. He will wipe all our tears away, and there will be no more death, no more pain and no more sorrow, ever! Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
He’ll recreate heaven and earth to be the perfect place it was before sin!
The “New Jerusalem” may or may not be an actual place, but it is definitely a symbolic representation of the people of God (the bride of Christ) in the new universe
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
